Endurance training builds incredible cardiovascular fitness — but it can also come with a hidden cost.

Cyclists and other endurance athletes are at an increased risk of osteopenia and osteoporosis due to the repetitive, low-impact nature of their sport. Without targeted strength training and proper fueling, this can lead to decreased performance, higher injury risk, and reduced long-term athletic longevity.

Part 1: Education & Strategy

📍 Bushtukah Westboro (203 Richmond Rd)
🗓 January 14 at 6pm

Join Kate Laird, owner of Love Your Body Fitness, and Dr. Holly Paraschuk and Dr. Laeticia Domagalski, Naturopathic Doctors from NutriChem, for an in-depth, evidence-based workshop designed to help endurance athletes build stronger bones, improve performance, and train for longevity.

You’ll learn:

🚴‍♀️ How to structure strength training to support bone density and power output
🥗 The key nutrients and supplements endurance athletes should prioritize for long-term bone health
⚖️ How to balance training load, recovery, and fueling to reduce stress injuries and fatigue
💪 Why building strength in the gym is essential for better endurance in your sport

Whether you’re a competitive cyclist or leisure cyclist, this session will help you move beyond mileage and start training smarter — so you can ride stronger, longer, and with confidence.

Please ensure you register twice—once for Part 1 and once for Part 2.

(please check out Jan 17th to register for Part 2)

This event is in collaboration with S.W.E.E.T. (Sporty Women Encouraging and Empowering Together).
