Since 1979, we’ve been empowering Westboro Village’s businesses by supporting their growth and development. Over the past 45 years, we’ve seen the community grow, change and blossom into a thriving neighbourhood for the business community.

Our Neighbourhood’s History
The History of Westboro Village
Did you know that Westboro Village began as a remote farmland before it became the community it is today? We’ve come a long way from our humble beginnings in the 1800’s! From the first sawmill, post office and general store in the 1860s to now, a bustling community with something to do and see for everyone.
Our neighbourhood grew from a small industrial town into a thriving community with much to offer. Read more about our history below:

A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is an essential organization that develops and empowers a neighbourhood’s business community. By working collaboratively with local businesses and government, the BIA strives to facilitate growth and civic improvement opportunities for their respective communities. This is implemented through running events, ensuring community safety and maintenance of outdoor spaces.
