It was no accident that co-owners and co-founders Sabrina Clark and Keaton Basso chose Westboro Village to launch their multidisciplinary health and wellness practice, Verve Movement, in 2024.
We chose Westboro because it’s lively, health-focused, and walkable,” says Sabrina. “It felt like the perfect place to create a space where people can move, grow, and thrive together.”
The People Behind Verve Movement
Sabrina, a lawyer and entrepreneur, leads Verve’s administration and operations, building systems and strategy so the team can focus on its mission: helping clients move, feel, and live better. Her expertise ensures the practice runs smoothly and aligns with client needs.
Keaton, a Registered Massage Therapist, Registered Kinesiologist, and Fascia Stretch Specialist, brings a highly individualized, movement-based approach. Drawing on his experience with competitive sports and professional athletes, he integrates kinesiology, massage, and Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) to design long-term, personalized treatment plans that address root causes and support performance, recovery, and lasting health.
Together, they balance clinical expertise with operational vision, united by the philosophy that care should see the whole person—not just symptoms. This combination of expertise and strategy shapes how the team works together to deliver personalized care.
A Personalized, Collaborative Approach
Collaboration is central to Verve Movement. Keaton’s work with clients is complemented by a team of registered massage therapists, physiotherapists, kinesiologists, and acupuncturists, whose combined expertise provides a unified, holistic approach.
Every session is one-on-one, tailored to clients’ goals, and designed to educate as well as treat. Clients learn about their bodies and movement, empowering them to take an active role in their health. The warm, welcoming space reflects the team’s commitment to personalized care.
Looking ahead, Verve plans to expand services and develop community partnerships that strengthen connections and support clients’ wellness journeys. This ensures every client receives coordinated, thoughtful care, guided by a team dedicated to long-term wellbeing.
Embracing The Community Around Them
“What surprised us is how community-oriented Westboro is,” says Keaton. “It’s tight-knit, with familiar faces and a genuine sense of belonging. People here are active, walking, cycling, skiing, and engaging with local businesses. That combination of warmth and energy has been a joy to experience.”
Outside of work, Sabrina and Keaton enjoy walking their dogs, exploring boutique shops along Richmond Road, visiting local cafés, and trying out the neighbourhood’s gyms and fitness studios. “Westboro’s mix of nature and urban life makes it easy to recharge, whether that’s a walk by the water or enjoying the food scene,” they say.
