Polanco is a family-owned and run business that has been in Ottawa for 25 years. “My husband and I were keen to create a family business that would allow us to work together and create a business that would be a reflection of our personalities and allow us to be more creative and feel good about what we do” Renfrew says.
“We wanted a new challenge that would give us the ability to express our talents and give us the satisfaction that comes with creating something that is our own.”
After four years in the Byward Market, Renfrew opened in Westboro. “…it was an up and coming area with a great vibe and we saw lots of potential in this vastly changing community.”
Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2024 is a testament to the service and product Polanco has provided for decades. Renfrew says she’s been amazed to see customers from all over the City of Ottawa and area, and also surprised by the loyalty of the customers. “I’ve had the opportunity to create excitement in people’s lives through designing,” she says.
