What is Shop the Village?
Have you ever stepped into a shop and thought, “I can’t believe I didn’t come in sooner!” Shop the Village is our annual campaign to highlight the businesses that everyone loves and help our neighbours find their new favourite store. Follow along on Facebook or Instagram as we highlight the amazing shops and the people that make them what they are.

To celebrate our retailers, we’ll be handing out experience booklets with exciting offers curated just for Shop the Village! You can find us at Byron Linear Park for the first Farmers Market of the season on May 24th, from 10AM to 11AM. We’ll also have some at Birds & Blooms, also on May 24th at 1 PM at Winston Square
Don’t wait – we’re only printing 500 of these booklets and it will be first come, first serve. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Birds & Blooms – May 24th
We’re welcoming some special summer guests at this kick-off event! Join us as we celebrate the Birdhouse – an interactive art installation from LeMonde Studio – with some fun, family-friendly crafts and delicious treats. Once you’ve tried out the dynamic display, explore Westboro Village as it is adorned with an abundance of blooms.
Find us at Winston Square (399 Winston Ave) from 1 PM to 3 PM. No registration required. Birdhouse crafts and experience booklets are limited in quantity and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Cast your vote in the Street Food Showdown – May 31st
Hey foodies – we have something special for you, too! On May 31st, we’ll be hosting a Street Food Showdown featuring some of your favourite Westboro Village restaurants. Get ready to taste some delicious food and cast your vote for the Peoples’ Choice Winner.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Westboro Region Food Bank.
