Diversity is a hallmark of our programs, each meticulously designed to address the unique needs of our community members. We take pride in offering a diverse range of programs and services designed to meet the unique needs of our community. From empowering marginalized women to connecting youth with mentors, supporting newcomers, and improving access to healthcare.
Here is a look at some of the programs currently offered:
- Community Meals: Partnering with local organizations to provide nutritious meals to the Van Lang Community, nurturing a sense of belonging.
- Women in the Wild: Empowering marginalized women through access to nature, to create mindfulness and skill-building activities.
- Income Tax Clinic: Offering free tax filing support to low-income residents, promoting financial stability.
- Social Prescribing: Bridging healthcare with social services to combat isolation, loneliness, and depression.
- Support Groups: Creating safe spaces for women facing domestic violence and offering coping skills and resiliency groups.
- Prenatal and Perinatal Services: Supporting expectant and early postpartum families through virtual and in-person care.
- Early Learning and Childcare: Participating in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Childcare agreement, making childcare more accessible and affordable.
- SWAG Program: Helping youth graduate and Empower through workshops, events, and mentorship.
- REDBLACKS/Youth Mentorship Program: Transforming lives through mentorship, cultural identity, and support.
- Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT): Providing ongoing and continuous support for individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness. Reducing hospitalizations and enhancing mental wellness.
- Primary Health Care: Delivering a wide range of healthcare services, including outreach and vaccination Clinic.
- GLAD Hip & Knee Osteoarthritis Program: Enhancing care for those with joint arthritis.
- Outreach Programs: Expanding our reach and care to Hampton Lodge residential home, with formal domiciliary outreach in development.
