Earth Day 2024 – Help us clean up Richmond Road from Golden to Tweedsmuir!
The Cleaning the Capital campaign is a citywide cleanup that occurs in the spring and fall of every year. Residents come together as a community and combine efforts to make our city clean and green.
Westboro Community Association is inviting you to join them for Earth Day as we clean up Westboro’s main street!
At 10:00 am, on April 22nd come to MEC’s big tent at 366 Richmond Road for everything you need. The organizers will give you a pair of Nitrile gloves and a litter bag, and will assign you a patch of Richmond Road to clean up. At noon, simply return your bag to the MEC where volunteers will be separating litter for disposal or recycling.
Most of our street litter is plastic. Picking up this garbage takes us one step closer to protecting our neighbourhood’s biodiversity and preserving our ecosystems.
