The Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue (OscatR)
The Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue was founded in 2011 with a mission to get adoptable cats off the streets and into homes in addition to supporting stray cat colonies in the Ottawa region.
They are 100% volunteer based with three core programs that they use to achieve their mission:
- Adoption Program
- Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR)
- Feral Cat Relocation.
Their team of volunteers rescue and care for cats in a large geographical area in the National Capital Region spanning Arnprior to the West, Winchester to the South and Casselman to the East. They save over 750 every year and feed and care for over 150 cats in the colonies on a daily basis.
