Simple, Spooky, and Safe! Celebrate Halloween in Westboro Village between October 16 and November 1 with an easy scavenger hunt for the whole family! Wickedly Westboro is back.
When Ottawa’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Vera Etches, recommended against trick-or-treating in 2020, she also suggested that a fun option could be to participate in scavenger hunts with the members of your household.
Lucky for you and your family, we’ve been busy planning one for weeks! Not only that, but we’re giving away $1000 in prizes to be won, to boot. Seriously! Your family could win one of ten $100 ghoulish goodie baskets made up of treats and gifts from the amazing shops of Westboro Village.
The rules are super simple:
- Between Friday, October 16, and Sunday, November 1, safely look for the five spooky buds (shown below) hiding in the windows of stores and restaurants in Westboro Village, between Island Park and Golden Avenue. Hunt for the ghost, the bat, the jack-o’-lantern, the spider, and the skull! Take a photo of each one as you find them.
- Once you have photos of all five, submit them however is easiest for you:
🔥 Hot Tip: Yes! You can submit your five photos up to three of these different ways to better your chances of winning. Each entry gets you another ballot into our draw for one of the $100 baskets, up to three for your household.
🎃 🎃 🎃
You have until November 1 at midnight to submit your five photos up to the three different ways.
When you’re hunting, make sure to kindly keep your distance from others on the street. Please make sure to bring face masks for when you want to enter the shops you’ll be spying on — and of course, we would love to see you dressed up in costumes while you hunt!
Any questions? Just email firstname.lastname@example.org or send us a direct message on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
👻 Happy haunting — err, hunting!
Note: You must be able to pick up your prize between November 2 and 6 in Westboro Village (Ottawa) if you win! Thanks for your cooperation.
